I used the<a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7554&CatalogID=2155"> Sparkle and Shine Workshop On The Go</a> to make this cute little photo album. The album itself I picked up at Michael's on clearance. I made a cover for it using the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7553&CatalogID=2155">Sparkle and Shine paper</a>, the 'Merry and Bright' stamp and <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7166&CatalogID=176">Sparkle Flourishes</a> from the workshop, and silver <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6792&CatalogID=176">Shimmer Trim</a>. I also made a cover for the binding and the back cover. To adhere the paper covers to the album I used some of the Base and Bling <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7385&CatalogID=2027">Adhesive Strips</a>. This is my new favorite adhesive for projects when I know I need long-lasting hold. It's amazing.<br />

Welcome to the October edition of the Joyful Stars Blog Hop. If you are coming from <a href="http://www.byheleng.wordpress.com/">Helen's</a> blog, you are in the right place! Let's get started.<br />
<br />
Its craft show season, so I've been working overtime to get myself ready for all my shows. I thought I'd share a little project I made for them using the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7398&CatalogID=2012">Huntington</a> paper pack. I absolutely love this pack. The colors and patterns are right up my alley, and I love that it can be great for fall or Christmas.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnnmGmmCGQ6V4wYdHHfS1KhPOiqjS6lGduwtC2n3hz1ZIHMXfOaSnS5Fdwmmp23z_lmczvWdV6OqjKXviGfQmjo4peuq9sEMyOez5NaMKFa6Q76xX0bACwEEK7ey0FPKwhF8shGl7w7LJJ/s1600/image.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnnmGmmCGQ6V4wYdHHfS1KhPOiqjS6lGduwtC2n3hz1ZIHMXfOaSnS5Fdwmmp23z_lmczvWdV6OqjKXviGfQmjo4peuq9sEMyOez5NaMKFa6Q76xX0bACwEEK7ey0FPKwhF8shGl7w7LJJ/s400/image.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I've been seeing these cute little chocolate square holders all over pinterest, and I thought they would be a perfect little impulse buy to have at the shows. I didn't love any of the patterns, though. They all seemed too time intensive, too much scoring and folding and gluing. Then I remembered that somewhere I'd seen this idea. I can't remember where, (and if you know, please let me know so I can give credit) but I love the simplicity of it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhaXDANXQj_DE8rFoIsbzmwwYRye7ujF9ZXIMbzIMXjN9mW0W1DrUe3Bh08XDZ3UEDVkw9dPQBPbJdBXJkk0AbpSdD49-oAFBBFQQsZIQ9kA76z6vqK5b2JItcI-I90ZGxS1e8VyGyEfY4/s1600/image+(1).jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhaXDANXQj_DE8rFoIsbzmwwYRye7ujF9ZXIMbzIMXjN9mW0W1DrUe3Bh08XDZ3UEDVkw9dPQBPbJdBXJkk0AbpSdD49-oAFBBFQQsZIQ9kA76z6vqK5b2JItcI-I90ZGxS1e8VyGyEfY4/s400/image+(1).jpeg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
You use a 6x6 piece of cardstock, folded in half along the diagonal, sides folded in, then folded in half again to make two pockets. Punch a hole in the top, add some ribbon, and you are done! The only glue on this project is holding the patterned paper onto the base. It's so easy! They are the perfect size for a little chocolate square on one side and a small note on the other. They would make great stocking stuffers, be lovely in a bunch of flowers as a thank you for a hostess, a cute treat for all the members of your book club, and more. I really love how these turned out, and I'm excited to make more in more patterns and colors!<br />

<br />
Hi! Welcome to the September edition of the Creatively Redeeming Treasures Blog Hop. If you are arriving from <a href="http://scrapfever-ebeth.blogspot.com/">Elizabeth's</a> blog, you are in the right place! This month, we are featuring the fantastic <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7395&CatalogID=2003">Sarita</a> paper pack from Close To My Heart. I really love this paper. It's so trendy and modern, I love the navy and the orange, and the ikat pattern is one of my all time favorites. But as much as I love the paper, I wasn't feeling super creative with it. I kept pulling it out, looking at it, trying different combinations, and then putting it away again. I had no clue what to do with it. Then I talked to my best friend who just moved all the way across the country to live with her baby and her inlaws while her husband is going to school. She sounded so sad and lonely, and I wanted to do something to cheer her up. As soon as I knew I wanted to make her something, I knew EXACTLY what to do with this paper pack and this card was born.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHP8GmKRmLXY0VrOI5Qz8WjKRwqNLTCuBpIoTbK1oxIvbha3iM3nvmOnI13LrO2m_UfM0mcrrIGWGrTyZgcVZOGFsHv6Jb17cs1qsQrcFzCkNFpUhayCc-82ha-zjIfnw-ATbL38tH9ncW/s1600/image+(3).jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHP8GmKRmLXY0VrOI5Qz8WjKRwqNLTCuBpIoTbK1oxIvbha3iM3nvmOnI13LrO2m_UfM0mcrrIGWGrTyZgcVZOGFsHv6Jb17cs1qsQrcFzCkNFpUhayCc-82ha-zjIfnw-ATbL38tH9ncW/s400/image+(3).jpeg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I used the ikat patterned paper on an Outdoor Denim background. I used the fantastic <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7470&CatalogID=1833">Geometric Backgrounds</a> stamp in the ikat pattern to stamp the navy cardstock in navy ink to give it a little bit more depth. I am a huge fan of background stamps, but these are probably my favorite. They are specifically designed to fit together so you can stamp seamless backgrounds with ease. It's so easy and adds such a great touch to your project.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The sentiment and the butterfly and flower stamps are from this month's exclusive <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/CTMH/Content.aspx?id=/en/OBA/Promotions/September_2013_NSM.aspx">You Are My Happy</a> set, in celebration of National Scrapbooking Month. This is such a fantastic set. It comes with a complete uppercase and lowercase alphabet, a sheet of sentiments, and a sheet of adorable animals and shapes, and it only costs $10 if you purchase $50 or more in qualifying product!<br />
<div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The inside of the card has a delightful quote from Dr. Seuss and some more happy animals. I'm really happy with how this turned out and I think my friend is going to love it, too. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The last couple of days here have been cold and rainy. I've been wearing scarves and cardigans and feeling like fall. I also just got this super adorable turkey stamp, and so this card was born.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I used Barn Red card stock and one piece of patterned paper from the Huntington pack. I cut the patterned paper into a 1/2 in x 12 in strip and then cut it into three 4-inch pieces. The turkey I cut with my cricut using the Artiste cartridge. The 'Happy Thanksgiving' and the flourish are from that set, as well as the 'Thank You' stamped on the bottom grey piece. Some little gold sparkles were the finishing touch! Quick, easy thank you card for a thanksgiving hostess! Now hop on to <a href="http://craftymeadows.blogspot.com/">Lori's</a> blog to see what else we have for you. Thanks for stopping by!</div>

Welcome to the August edition of the Creatively Redeeming Treasures Blog Hop. I'm so glad you are here. If you are coming from <a href="http://papercraftingwithangelina.blogspot.com/">Angelina's</a> blog, you are in the right place. If you are starting here at my blog, keep hopping through and when you end up back here, you know you are in the right place. Let's get started, shall we?<br />
<br />
This month, the theme is the brand new paper pack from Close To My Heart called <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7397&CatalogID=2005">'Babycakes'</a>. This paper pack is so cute. It is gender neutral, full of trendy greys, browns, and oranges, polka dots, stripes, and adorable giraffes, and would make fantastic baby pages or projects. When I first saw it, I completely wrote it off, because I don't have babies, and clearly this paper is only for baby projects, right? WRONG! The giraffe paper is probably best for babies, but the neutral color palette, the polkadots, stripes, and solids make it a fantastic choice for many different projects. To show you how versatile this paper is, I made a very classy Thank You card that has nothing to do with babies.<br />

<br />
I used one of the brand new <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7347&CatalogID=172">Spin Cards</a>, as well as the mini <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7493&CatalogID=1855">Thank You</a> stamp. And can I just talk about the mini stamps for a minute. How cute are they? They are adorable, the perfect size for a quick card to someone, and at only $2.95 each, you can buy all of them! Great, huh? They also fit perfectly on the spinner part of these cards, so the combo makes it fantastic for a quick and easy card. I used the brand new <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7333&CatalogID=1465">Scallop Punch</a> on the edges of my strips of paper, layered them on the bottom of the card, and topped it off with some <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7331&CatalogID=176">Bronze Shimmer Trim</a>. If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you know how much I love shimmer trim. If this is your first visit, let me just say that if I could only pick one crafting product to keep with me on a desert island, it would be shimmer trim. This stuff is amazing. You need shimmer trim.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I sponged the edges of the spinner and the cut-out with Sunset ink to make them stand out a little bit more. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the opposite side of the spinner I just adhered a grey circle. I might do something with this later before I give the card away, or I might not. I haven't decided for sure yet. But I like that I have options.</div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Hi! Welcome to this month's Creatively Redeeming Treasures Blog Hop! If you are coming from <a href="http://ejoym.blogspot.com/2013/07/creatively-redeeming-treasures-july.html">Elizabeth's</a> blog, you are in the right place! If you are just stopping by, feel free to follow the links and hop the whole way through and see everyone's artwork. This month's theme is 'Anything Goes', which is my favorite theme. :) I thought I'd show you a project I made for my team last month at convention. I recently learned how to do Coptic binding, which is a way to bind books so that they open flat at any page. If you would like to learn how to do this, there is an excellent tutorial <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2FRKbQI2kY">here</a>. I used a small notebook for the inside pages and plain, cream-colored cardstock for the outside covers. I used brown, waxed thread, although embroidery floss also works well. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCcF1KCOvjFp-DTwE9MNqQhf6AIpybIu7jprQ0OH-S5NB54of54vKIp1G2_HX4BfSWZhof3TB89WINuIhlxz_PRMJ9DX3oNv9iOtaHXF0G0XY_Ati0XYmbgR6SN6bXRLidakkznKbjcBjV/s1600/CG3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCcF1KCOvjFp-DTwE9MNqQhf6AIpybIu7jprQ0OH-S5NB54of54vKIp1G2_HX4BfSWZhof3TB89WINuIhlxz_PRMJ9DX3oNv9iOtaHXF0G0XY_Ati0XYmbgR6SN6bXRLidakkznKbjcBjV/s640/CG3.jpg" width="480" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I forgot to take pictures before they flew in a plane, so it's a little beat up. I layered Chocolate and Sweet Leaf cardstock. On the brown cardstock, I stamped some flourishes around the edge in Chocolate, and on the green paper, I stamped the scallop dots from <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6296&CatalogID=1834">this</a> stamp set. (By the way, this is one of my favorite stamps ever. I use it so often to make a subtle pattern on paper and it is so versatile. If you like making patterned paper with stamps and plain cardstock, this set is definitely a must have)</span></div>

Welcome to the July Joyful Stars Blog Hop! If you are coming from <a href="http://www.savingmemorieswithcindy.com/2013/07/joyful-stars-blog-hop.html" target="_blank">Cindy's Blog</a>, you are in the right place! Not sure what a blog hop is? Its basically a big circle of blog posts on a similar theme and you 'hop' from one post to the next through the provided links, eventually reaching the point where you started.<br />
<br />
This month, our theme was 'Anything Goes', so I decided to mix some old and some new. I started with the July sketch challenge from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/papercraftingdivas/" target="_blank">Paper Crafting Divas</a>. I used some paper from the 'Clementine' Paper pack (which is one of my all time favorites and is sadly no longer available) as well as cardstock in Champagne and Saddle.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipqSMCYqjVmswG7nTeUCzVutD3qT7ggjRYAmP27BpRHKCsTMh7L5sCbYofBbmRG54nPUFaF4K6cZxsL-2CpQgNb4kWtbIzXnG5AH1wH_45yPBcH0EGoS7XHPnCTszH2hpjNjpr9i6tiR1q/s1600/JSBH1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipqSMCYqjVmswG7nTeUCzVutD3qT7ggjRYAmP27BpRHKCsTMh7L5sCbYofBbmRG54nPUFaF4K6cZxsL-2CpQgNb4kWtbIzXnG5AH1wH_45yPBcH0EGoS7XHPnCTszH2hpjNjpr9i6tiR1q/s400/JSBH1.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
The sentiment is from <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=3150&CatalogID=1835" target="_blank">For Every Occasion</a>, which is probably the most versatile and useful sentiment set I own. If you make cards, you MUST own this set.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv67y5uTQrMSdOdPlGims2JTqboNXHkhrvzIp-j4bhZqz02LumrhjAzzhVB0Sq6cYh1uNXeV6Nf6fmOAXps3HSAx5PtIM2nqHUOgoMXwlWIb4bCjMvz8GQxsF0ns7sCETHOqYYIKWKhUKS/s1600/JSBH2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiv67y5uTQrMSdOdPlGims2JTqboNXHkhrvzIp-j4bhZqz02LumrhjAzzhVB0Sq6cYh1uNXeV6Nf6fmOAXps3HSAx5PtIM2nqHUOgoMXwlWIb4bCjMvz8GQxsF0ns7sCETHOqYYIKWKhUKS/s400/JSBH2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The pattern on the brown cardstock is from a new stamp set that isn't available until August 1, but it is really fantastic. It's three different border/background stamps which fit together, making it super easy to make your own patterned paper! I LOVE stamps that let me make my own patterned paper, and this stamp is fantastic. There's the ikat pattern I used here, a checker pattern, and a diamond pattern. I stamped the ikat pattern on the brown cardstock in <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=725&CatalogID=36" target="_blank">Chocolate </a>ink because I wanted it to stand out.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I also used some brand new Bronze Shimmer Trim which isn't available until August 1. You guys, I got a roll at Convention and I've almost used the entire thing in the two weeks since I got it. I adore this shimmer trim. I'm not really a glitter person, but I find myself reaching for shimmer trim all the time. As I said, the Bronze shade isn't available yet, but you can find it in <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6792&CatalogID=176" target="_blank">silver</a> and <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7163&CatalogID=695" target="_blank">black</a>. (OR, to order anything out of the new Idea Book before it's available, you can join my team for only $49, receive $155 worth of brand new product, and get a discount on all of the new products in the new Idea Book! Contact me for more information.)<br />

<br />
Now, can we talk the flower design for just a moment. I really love the way it looks, and I have seen these shapes used so many times. Would you believe that I didn't realize how simple they are to make until about three months ago? It's true. (In case you are like me, and don't know, a full tutorial for this card is below and I'll share the secret). To finish off the look, I used a flower from the XXXXXXX assortment pack and a brown button tied with some <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6566&CatalogID=176" target="_blank">bakers twine</a>.<br />

So that's my project for today! Hop on over to <a href="http://joyce-joyfulcreations.blogspot.com/2013/07/joyful-stars-july-blog-hop.html" target="_blank">Joyce's</a> blog, or keep reading for the full tutorial. Thanks for stopping by!<br />
<br />
Card Recipe!<br />
<br />
Use standard size card base or cut cardstock to 8.5" x 5.5" and fold in half to make 4.25" x 5.5" card<br />
Cut dark brown cardstock piece at 4.25" x 5.5"<br />
Cut beige piece at 4" x 5.25"<br />
Cut 4 squares at 1.25" x 1.25" and 4 at 1.5" x 1.5" from 4 different sheets of cardstock. Stamp or sponge as desired. (I sponged all the cardstock pieces in Chocolate ink)<br />
Use a corner rounder on two opposing corners of all 8 squares. Layer one small piece on one larger piece as desired and adhere to beige cardstock.<br />
Attach shimmer trim.<br />
Stamp sentiment in Chocolate ink<br />
Attach center embellishment<br />
Adhere beige piece to dark brown piece<br />
Adhere dark brown piece to card base.<br />
<br />

We do a layout and a class on something else (cards, 3-D object, etc) once a month. Class kits are available, and they are available at two different levels. At the first, and easiest level, the kit comes with only what you need to complete the project. For a layout, that means the base pages, photo mats, embellishments, journaling and title blocks, and directions. If you attend this class in person, you will be able to use my supplies for stamping and inking, and if you order it online, everything will be pre-stamped. At the second level, you will still receive all the supplies you need for the project, but there will be some extras. You will receive an entire pack of embellishments, not just the amount you need for the project. You will receive pre-cut paper, but you will also receive some extra paper as well. You will receive the stamps and ink you need to do your own stamping. All classes are available in person or online, and if you participate online, you will receive detailed instructions and Skype/FaceTime/Gchat support as necessary.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now that we have the details out of the way, lets talk about our July classes. The first class is a layout class. We will be completing two, 2-page layouts with a grey, coral, and teal color scheme and a 'Summer' theme. I'm a huge fan of this layout, and it comes together so quickly! Here's a quick picture of the first page, and I'll have more up soon - I am having difficulties with my camera right now so I'm sorry about that. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjszeCMDRG4bQvxd8G_5zPQohYnyt_R04FVUs2Na10CZekflfDiqX89rn_b_OFT0Yyim-vIoSl_3lYgOjL_Asxrnd53TZ7OQ-Ly4egcVvFDkM2ZV07aG7yv2hsp22ELML0vKMeN3gm78D1d/s1600/July+Layout.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="368" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjszeCMDRG4bQvxd8G_5zPQohYnyt_R04FVUs2Na10CZekflfDiqX89rn_b_OFT0Yyim-vIoSl_3lYgOjL_Asxrnd53TZ7OQ-Ly4egcVvFDkM2ZV07aG7yv2hsp22ELML0vKMeN3gm78D1d/s400/July+Layout.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The layout class, if you participate in person, will be on July 30th. Please register by going to the <a href="http://craftyschemings.blogspot.com/p/classes.html" target="_blank">'Classes'</a> link at the top of the page and selecting the correct option from the drop down menu under July Classes. Registration for virtual and in person classes must be by July 19th.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The second class we have this month is a mini-card class. I absolutely love mini cards, because they are perfect for tossing in a gift bag or including with a quick present (birthday, hostess, thank you, etc). Also, they are just so cute! We will be making 6 mini-cards in 6 different designs for different occasions. The cards will come in a mini 'magazine box' holder that I really wish I could show you, and I will upload pictures as soon as I can. This class will be on July 29th. Please register by July 18th by following the procedure outlined above.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That's it for today! Check back tomorrow for a very exciting blog hop, on Wednesday for my next party kit (you guys are really going to love this one), and don't forget about all of the exciting <a href="http://craftyschemings.blogspot.com/2013/07/its-july.html" target="_blank">July specials</a>!</div>

Hey Guys!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As you know, I'm at Disney World right now! I'm having so much fun hanging out with good friends, eating great good, spending time at the pool every day, and finding out all about the new products and designs Close To My Heart is offering in their new Idea Book! It's super motivating for me, which means I brain is full of new ideas for new projects for my Etsy store, new kits for you, and tons of great crafts! There are a lot of changes this year, and I'm super excited about almost all of them. So, let's get started.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First, Close To My Heart is offering a new Jewelry Line! This line is called Base and Bling, and is composed of different jewelry bases, including a necklace, cuff bracelet, hair clip, and more! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSdFviUsjrVgPCIiMMK7bwavsuUpy7ID6AA5UXD4IW1zTW3n6ZoVM4LcQOaPxxTT26CIlFU8zt45nC1Ou-KsO6uD_6w7O5z9sBbmRwVwS00Y7UZG8U6x0CgfjH7Ods36rFNq4hGOK-itz8/s612/base+and+bling+bases.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSdFviUsjrVgPCIiMMK7bwavsuUpy7ID6AA5UXD4IW1zTW3n6ZoVM4LcQOaPxxTT26CIlFU8zt45nC1Ou-KsO6uD_6w7O5z9sBbmRwVwS00Y7UZG8U6x0CgfjH7Ods36rFNq4hGOK-itz8/s400/base+and+bling+bases.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There are also different collections of flowers and embellishments, as well as a kit with fabric to enable each piece of jewelry you make to be completely customized and personalized, and there are also tons of great ideas for making the jewelry interchangeable (think velcro hooks, magnets, and more!). I'm so excited about this idea and I can't wait to get some and start playing around with them!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhTJDSyOEZU1q1ZI69Kv-XZXltowu3ZT5vckXtM2Hpjk0Eb_VA7IlNltAmME2i-rGuWyPGXl4lrKOOekGoL-LTW7rD5GAApn1fPaQw3IHZgntYta_rnq5Cy92jNvqGVcYiP3kaN1SbIjl/s960/base+and+bling+tops.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhTJDSyOEZU1q1ZI69Kv-XZXltowu3ZT5vckXtM2Hpjk0Eb_VA7IlNltAmME2i-rGuWyPGXl4lrKOOekGoL-LTW7rD5GAApn1fPaQw3IHZgntYta_rnq5Cy92jNvqGVcYiP3kaN1SbIjl/s640/base+and+bling+tops.jpg" width="360" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The second hugely exciting thing they announced is a BRAND NEW CRICUT CARTRIDGE!!! You guys. I can't even tell you how excited I am about this. I use my Cricut all. the. time. I love it. With this new cartridge, called Artbooking, you can create overlays, mini albums, and even do paper embossing. I can't wait to buy it and try out all of the fantastic options! As always, the cartridge comes with three D-size stamp sets and coordinating chipboard shapes, and let me tell you, I love these stamp sets. There are some great shapes and designs in there. This cartridge, like everything else in the new idea book, is not available for order until August, but if you pre-order it from me by July 31st, you will receive free shipping. Contact me for more details or to pre-order the fabulous new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm also super excited about some of the changes they have made to the Workshop on the Go program. These kits now come with a D-size stamp instead of C-size stamp, and are still the same price, so the savings for you is about $10 per kit. There are some beautiful new paper packs and workshop stamp sets, and they are even more of a terrific value than before.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And now, some photos. Because I know you guys are just dying to see my vacation pictures and don't really care about all the cool new products, right? That's what I thought. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVSHZXNscRxcK-lD1CJSSliYZN_afB9S0tS0QehLZ-YTQE5Rynmw_AjNYnr1qroNqlw4K1cAOO8L8Ek_J3mJLnnnRIv5DeqLyoCZvwlvSdfDfXRpDY1hz1efokOl_J7ZVOxrVsd9kZ_ZY2/s1600/IMG_1372.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVSHZXNscRxcK-lD1CJSSliYZN_afB9S0tS0QehLZ-YTQE5Rynmw_AjNYnr1qroNqlw4K1cAOO8L8Ek_J3mJLnnnRIv5DeqLyoCZvwlvSdfDfXRpDY1hz1efokOl_J7ZVOxrVsd9kZ_ZY2/s400/IMG_1372.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My sister-in-law and I found this donkey and we just had to take a picture with it.</div>

We also found Mexican Donald, so we had to take a picture with him, too. Quick story. My husband and I came to Disney World for a long weekend shortly after we were married and I found every single Donald in the park to take a picture with because he is my favorite. So when I called Jeff after this photo was taken, I told him something awesome had happened and his first guess was a picture with Donald. Because I love him that much.</div>

I'm so excited you guys! I have three really exciting things to tell you about today, and I can't figure out which one I'm most excited about! Let's jump right in, shall we?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First! I've been working really hard for the past few months developing a line of party kits. The idea is that if you are throwing a birthday party, I've got you covered. The kits will contain, at minimum, invitations, cupcake toppers and wrappers, a banner, and something to hold favors. Depending on the theme, there may be other things as well. Standard party kit will be for 10 people, and of course you can add on if necessary! I will be introducing these kits throughout the month of July, in addition to my regular posts, and I'm so excited about them I'm going to give you a sneak peek of the first one right now!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjATMfgQUHYe5tB08-2i9JhTiRzsXHZEvBo18hKj4KwRah8405TMy6sESRBSOqg0LTkWDBd_r8uwQ_GSG-T1Nk0-fiJFWquGTbIpM9vrIb7fzdY1pi8gJ5D0Drm-COmaPi4jwjtH8jZD0Zi/s1600/IMG_1266.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjATMfgQUHYe5tB08-2i9JhTiRzsXHZEvBo18hKj4KwRah8405TMy6sESRBSOqg0LTkWDBd_r8uwQ_GSG-T1Nk0-fiJFWquGTbIpM9vrIb7fzdY1pi8gJ5D0Drm-COmaPi4jwjtH8jZD0Zi/s640/IMG_1266.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This whole kit looks so cool, and I'm so excited to show off the whole thing. Check back Wednesday, July 3 for the whole thing, and every Wednesday in July for a look at each new kit.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Speaking of the month of July, it's a great time of year for you! Why, you ask? Well, I'll tell you. My birthday is in July, so in celebration, I'm offering a 10% discount for anything purchased from my <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/OccasionallyPaperie" target="_blank">Etsy store</a>, from my shop on this website, OR from Close To My Heart. It's a great time to stock up on anything from the current Idea Book you might have missed, as this book will no longer be current at the end of July. And you get a discount! How great is that? To purchase anything from my Etsy store, just click on the link and shop. To purchase anything from this website or CTMH, just shoot me an email and we will arrange all the details!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
AND, speaking of Close To My Heart, the third every exciting thing I have to tell you about is that on Wednesday of this week, I'm going to Florida for 4 days to attend the Close To My Heart annual Convention! This year, Convention is at Disney World, which is one of my favorite places in the whole world, and I get to spend three days with some of my best friends seeing brand new product, crafting, and spending time with people who are as passionate about crafting as I am. I can't wait! I will be blogging more regularly than usual as I find out about new product and exciting new happenings, so check back frequently this weekend to stay up to date!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Ok. That's all for today. I have to go finish up some gifts for my team and pack, so I can be ready to leave SUPER early on Wednesday morning. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stay Crafty!</div>

<br />
<br />
Welcome to the first ever Creatively Redeeming Treasures Blog Hop! I'm so glad you are here. If you are coming from <a href="http://ejoym.blogspot.com/2013/06/creatively-redeeming-treasures-team.html">Elizabeth's</a> blog, you are in the right place! This month, we are featuring hexagons, which are such a fun shape, and especially the stamp set <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7094&CatalogID=1853">Honeycomb Flair</a>. This is such a fun set and I especially love it because I can make my own patterned paper with it. Inspiration for this card also came from a challenge from Paper Crafting Divas. Lets get started!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoSmlk4VGaUMKdDuW_JmJG78YvwILSgBl-mP_-ftTts3WOlCzPyFB8iCm9WVxsUfuK0lcDdGuVFa095NNowcWq_ocD_vMbtW0mFMI81IjngX1VGLkto63F3x5E5NdpyAOocxvp8lfrLhx1/s1600/IMG_1220.JPG"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoSmlk4VGaUMKdDuW_JmJG78YvwILSgBl-mP_-ftTts3WOlCzPyFB8iCm9WVxsUfuK0lcDdGuVFa095NNowcWq_ocD_vMbtW0mFMI81IjngX1VGLkto63F3x5E5NdpyAOocxvp8lfrLhx1/s400/IMG_1220.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a cream colored card base for this card. I added a 1.5" x 4.5" strip of paper from the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=7148&CatalogID=1886">Buzz and Bumble</a> paper pack. Then, with the Hexagon stamps and ink in 5 different colors (Chocolate, Desert Sand, Honey, Goldrush, and Ponderosa Pine) I stamped a 3" x 3.5" piece of cream card stock to make my own patterned paper.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimdGDAGGn2lV12PQHy4NvPoHjLdJLv9FJmDskd3G8Pv-JlqfYaR-2NeGhxzbjJ7Tna7lz01TxRNcXpCukpwd12DTRDyGnaUT_lQ8KKTLsYqt3C81FBFtOIElY_0GbBdm-Nx3bdCJGZxUm0/s1600/IMG_1222.JPG"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimdGDAGGn2lV12PQHy4NvPoHjLdJLv9FJmDskd3G8Pv-JlqfYaR-2NeGhxzbjJ7Tna7lz01TxRNcXpCukpwd12DTRDyGnaUT_lQ8KKTLsYqt3C81FBFtOIElY_0GbBdm-Nx3bdCJGZxUm0/s400/IMG_1222.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On top, I stamped a sentiment from one of the stamp sets that comes with the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6719&CatalogID=1740">Artiste</a> Cricut Cartridge in Ponderosa Pine and edged it with Goldrush ink</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmK1POglpjIwuJ9YuZGw5cYmee-RmFN8Gnm_22_YDk7l3Sjk9O9IXFM_7XI057Q7ZGXv642zIppyeZ7-JgnI0dC2Akt2iWSHeBjTbjtezsvsnNS1FqSbUy1CHOUWuJNcTBRFE7P02yVaDX/s1600/IMG_1221.JPG"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmK1POglpjIwuJ9YuZGw5cYmee-RmFN8Gnm_22_YDk7l3Sjk9O9IXFM_7XI057Q7ZGXv642zIppyeZ7-JgnI0dC2Akt2iWSHeBjTbjtezsvsnNS1FqSbUy1CHOUWuJNcTBRFE7P02yVaDX/s400/IMG_1221.JPG" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a piece of tan ribbon from my stash to make a little strip across the bottom, and added three <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6747&CatalogID=176">sparkles</a> as a finishing touch.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really love how this card turned out. I love the hexagons, the colors, the sparkles, the sentiment, everything. To order a kit to make this card yourself, or any other projects you see on my blog, to learn more about CTMH, or to sign up for virtual or in person classes, send me an <a href="mailto:meredith.hainsworth@gmail.com">email</a> or leave a comment below! If you have made something with hexagons, I'd love to see it. Thanks for visiting! Now, hop on over to <a href="http://www.scrapfever-ebeth.blogspot.com/2013/06/creatively-redeeming-treasures-team.html">Elizabeth's</a> blog to see some more gorgeous artwork!</div>

The June Special, as I previously mentioned, is spend $35, including at least one qualifying stamp set, and get this fantastic mini banner for free! Well, I love banners. They are so perfect for any occasion, and they add such a festive touch. I decided, since it's almost July, to make a banner to add to the decor for our picnic! And I absolutely LOVE how it turned out</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9cLrpTefOUNkCgmXUvSCLNlIQfSPhqiEUvSLoShgr9gUPHBs2YeirhrZ0fNrG5nos45mpIk_9fYePL03clQKmJrQZm1XfysurVAugiNq-MdwolP_WGt7iiakbXhwvCQhkOYSacoX5gfuP/s1600/IMG_1217.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9cLrpTefOUNkCgmXUvSCLNlIQfSPhqiEUvSLoShgr9gUPHBs2YeirhrZ0fNrG5nos45mpIk_9fYePL03clQKmJrQZm1XfysurVAugiNq-MdwolP_WGt7iiakbXhwvCQhkOYSacoX5gfuP/s400/IMG_1217.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The mini banner is compatible with the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6168&CatalogID=1740">Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge</a>. That means that all of the background papers were cut to fit the banner exactly, in about two minutes. I also used my Cricut to cut out the pieces for the medallions and the circles for the letters. I used <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=5962&CatalogID=1836">this stamp set</a> for the letters, which I stamped in black. I also used two different star stamps from two different sets to add a little something extra to the backgrounds. I used <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=743&CatalogID=36">Cranberry </a>and <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=5442&CatalogID=36">Pacifica </a>inks which blended nicely with the red and blue paper.</div>
<br />

After assembling all of the pieces, I strung the whole thing together with some <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6586&CatalogID=176">Color-Ready Ribbon</a>. I initially was planning on coloring it, but I decided I really liked the white. It gives it a very clean feel, which I like. I tied little knots in between the words to give a little bit more space, and on each end the ribbon is attached to a ring, ready to hang.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really like how this turned out. It was a lot of work, especially folding all of those medallions, but I think it was totally worth it in the end. </div>

Because I LOVE it. Like, seriously. It might be my favorite stamp in the whole world. I may never use another stamp set again! Well, that might be going a bit too far, but I really do love this set. In fact, I've made not one but two different projects with it because I love it so much!<br />
<div>
<br />
The first project I made was a 6" x 6" card. I really love the flower designs with this set, and at first I had colored some of them in with my alcohol markers, but I realized that I much prefer the simplicity of the stamp on white paper. Another crafter said they look like stained glass, and I love that description of them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGUM67FVEPH6G1FL5E4Srj_sEZaXtT-2takG63zNnFMFMBj9MfK3bMu9JB3wk4nP1-vLda75sxPk0IN-SDxXeON1BUAVENziF_NaKGYqKTncVX3_LS40ZkrZDpOD1s-UlwQ5FHJXaPIku0/s1600/IMG_1189.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGUM67FVEPH6G1FL5E4Srj_sEZaXtT-2takG63zNnFMFMBj9MfK3bMu9JB3wk4nP1-vLda75sxPk0IN-SDxXeON1BUAVENziF_NaKGYqKTncVX3_LS40ZkrZDpOD1s-UlwQ5FHJXaPIku0/s640/IMG_1189.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Details: 6" x 6" white daisy card base. 5.75" x 5.75" Pacifica card stock piece with 5.5" x 5.5" White Daisy piece layered on top. The Pacifica piece was heavily distressed. The sentiment is stamped in Pacifica on a 1" x 3" piece, the edges of which are sponged with Autumn Terracotta. That was layered onto a 1.25" x 3.25" Piece of Autumn Terracotta Cardstock. The flowers at the bottom, stem, and leaf were all stamped in Ponderosa Pine ink. The flower was stamped in Autumn Terracotta on a piece cut from the cricut (this stamp set coordinates with the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6719&CatalogID=1740" target="_blank">Artiste Cartridge</a>, although you could very easily cut it out by hand, and embellished with a wooden button sponged with Autumn Terracotta as well. I'm very fond of how this turned out, and I really love this stamp set with the clean white base.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIwG8ITlYU2H9zD7hbmuS_lOdPW_Br1mxKr_1KovNbvGKc1ifZY8cTYtrhyDG-9nqYQDttrUa3Txq5Sw1P7DbhYk-wOAtuLjQVUbPYkf2gnaueNpVZBDUZgwzOF4v3DTdS66K-V6lyyv75/s1600/IMG_1190.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIwG8ITlYU2H9zD7hbmuS_lOdPW_Br1mxKr_1KovNbvGKc1ifZY8cTYtrhyDG-9nqYQDttrUa3Txq5Sw1P7DbhYk-wOAtuLjQVUbPYkf2gnaueNpVZBDUZgwzOF4v3DTdS66K-V6lyyv75/s400/IMG_1190.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA9epoMgyU6D4X5yOIZbgNDuPpH3nFMRZ20PwYuUohlNxDMcqZMnLkdJfa7GKYv7VCbc-wlDYwkbJuThwX84e7NSkWYCTSHFcpqEalT0hOv-zktgDMyVQz2DOZ9FonUIhTiDWimd2DdRqt/s1600/IMG_1191.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA9epoMgyU6D4X5yOIZbgNDuPpH3nFMRZ20PwYuUohlNxDMcqZMnLkdJfa7GKYv7VCbc-wlDYwkbJuThwX84e7NSkWYCTSHFcpqEalT0hOv-zktgDMyVQz2DOZ9FonUIhTiDWimd2DdRqt/s400/IMG_1191.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The second project I made was a notecard box and set of notecards. I used the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6107&CatalogID=1240" target="_blank">My Creations Card Box</a> from Close To My Heart. I have a lot of these boxes and I use them frequently. I really love how this project turned out as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgafa6zFJWJLS-qHjwDKQr6gED6NCl3NyBQSH9UxiDS6Vj4Zc9MbfG24-YqdM1zdEdSobkoEteBToWs7VgnTUZL4zS-Hh26mZKfgFp0JH7-hn4EnGXfgD2XUEbjYPSoIqxSRKKNGgURPtn8/s1600/IMG_1193.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgafa6zFJWJLS-qHjwDKQr6gED6NCl3NyBQSH9UxiDS6Vj4Zc9MbfG24-YqdM1zdEdSobkoEteBToWs7VgnTUZL4zS-Hh26mZKfgFp0JH7-hn4EnGXfgD2XUEbjYPSoIqxSRKKNGgURPtn8/s640/IMG_1193.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
First, I random stamped the two smaller flowers from this set in Pacifica and Autumn Terracotta onto a piece of White Daisy Cardstock. After the whole sheet was covered, I cut strips to fit all sides of the box. I layered them with Pacifica cardstock., and sponged all edges of the box with Pacifica ink. For the top of the box, I used a piece of Pacifica cardstock with a small strip of the stamped paper on one side. The front flap I decided to make as an accent piece and I used the Autumn Terracotta cardstock for that. I embellished the front flap with two <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6099&CatalogID=176" target="_blank">pewter photo corners</a>, and then used three brads from the same collection to anchor the bakers twine on the top. I also cut two 4 flower shapes with my cricut and stamped them all in Autumn Terracotta. Three of the flower shapes I folded in half and glued together to make the flower 3-D, and the fourth was layered behind it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMBWvKIOsgmhLAVFfJWE0JbAiYMaz0vlXfha5DT1N2oG4B1bm_FIXHfDBd8zmblTmwrDlUTSbwMfSx5764QYAuWV8S5tNj5RaieOzIt8DZ7TeuBA5Jy8pn11KVR1hAuge9Fi5whoOh8DM4/s1600/IMG_1195.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMBWvKIOsgmhLAVFfJWE0JbAiYMaz0vlXfha5DT1N2oG4B1bm_FIXHfDBd8zmblTmwrDlUTSbwMfSx5764QYAuWV8S5tNj5RaieOzIt8DZ7TeuBA5Jy8pn11KVR1hAuge9Fi5whoOh8DM4/s640/IMG_1195.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The box has 8 notecards inside of it. I used the same basic design for all of them, but mixed it up a little bit with color combinations and flowers. All of the colored cardstock pieces were heavily distressed, which I love. There are also 8 different sentiments in the box which can be adhered as necessary, so the person giving the card can decide how to use it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUzKyM2nMWt4jtVZxnwVLajTkok_TD96nhO5fDwNVAkdYw2xqFLeAfeU9U5OS9NY8R5RPeqJheKdu77b48Ohy-AEFyYuPf4I-8WiTzm0EFawSxD1HV1WF3Eq4l9JGKNDKh_SVGQplhKmET/s1600/IMG_1196.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUzKyM2nMWt4jtVZxnwVLajTkok_TD96nhO5fDwNVAkdYw2xqFLeAfeU9U5OS9NY8R5RPeqJheKdu77b48Ohy-AEFyYuPf4I-8WiTzm0EFawSxD1HV1WF3Eq4l9JGKNDKh_SVGQplhKmET/s640/IMG_1196.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
That's what I did with the June Stamp of the Month. Remember, if you would like to own this stamp (entire set is pictured below), it's only available for the month of June. It's $17.95, or only $5 with a $50 purchase, and if that purchase includes at least one other stamp set, you will also get the Mini Banner for free.<br />

Today, I'm participating in my very first blog hop, which is also the first ever Joyful Stars Blog Hop! If you are coming from <a href="http://stampandscrapjeanie.blogspot.com/2013/06/joyful-stars-blog-hop-june-2013.html" target="_blank">Jean's blog</a>, welcome! You are in the right place. If you aren't familiar with the concept, it's pretty simple. You follow the links from one blog to the next until you get back where you started. Today, everyone participating is going to be showing you some beautiful artwork that you can make with materials featured in the current Close To My Heart Idea Book. To see the entire Idea Book, check out my <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Default.aspx" target="_blank">website</a>.<br />
<br />
I decided to play with a <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6790&CatalogID=1240" target="_blank">bracket frame</a> that I've had sitting in my box for a while. I was originally going to use some paper from the Buzz and Bumble paper pack, but I cut it totally wrong. Wrong shape, wrong size. Just wrong. So I decided to cut a 'trial piece' of white paper so I could mess it up a couple more times, which I did. However, once I got the right size, I liked the idea of the white, and stuck with that!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKiJy2bpEnTBIvcOQeKKkoPuYF54tryqXVzHz4cZ6a2ch81eozzrTuWKs4IAiv4aZsSjKM_7_SB24V7eeZNK-ozQdZ9N0WeTVCs1AMDkw1uWe-U7XAVdAP9YfR_dXI7Yls5j9wGJEGoVoN/s1600/BR+Smile+frame.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKiJy2bpEnTBIvcOQeKKkoPuYF54tryqXVzHz4cZ6a2ch81eozzrTuWKs4IAiv4aZsSjKM_7_SB24V7eeZNK-ozQdZ9N0WeTVCs1AMDkw1uWe-U7XAVdAP9YfR_dXI7Yls5j9wGJEGoVoN/s400/BR+Smile+frame.jpg" width="390" /></a></div>
<br />
I cut a piece of <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=369&CatalogID=22" target="_blank">sweet leaf</a> cardstock into half-inch strips. Then, using my clear ruler, a pencil, and LOTS of patience, I adhered the strips onto the frame. After they were all adhered, I trimmed them to fit the frame.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb5KBfXrQCbc21QM__rcKnWsd16GL3fRp7LGMkDJKUcnsMcVz_Px7DAkfri6WtVOIGw7U9YdpP8lDAFWfYAOzvUOHYRVH-d_T71skuIamkoDeiAXmgnnhoiH5wPKCBbYOG9vE72hKW7snl/s1600/BR+smile+frame+close+up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb5KBfXrQCbc21QM__rcKnWsd16GL3fRp7LGMkDJKUcnsMcVz_Px7DAkfri6WtVOIGw7U9YdpP8lDAFWfYAOzvUOHYRVH-d_T71skuIamkoDeiAXmgnnhoiH5wPKCBbYOG9vE72hKW7snl/s400/BR+smile+frame+close+up.jpg" width="388" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I cut a bunch of flowers in three different shapes with my Cricut and the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6168&CatalogID=1740" target="_blank">Art Philosophy Cartridge</a>, which coordinate with the flowers from the <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6475&CatalogID=1835" target="_blank">'A Blossom'</a> stamp set. I stamped them using Tulip and Gypsy ink. I also sponged some larger flowers to add a tint of color. I didn't love how it looked, though, so I added some purple and pink sparkles that I found in my stash. I know they are CTMH, but honestly, I have no idea how long I've had them or where the came from. Sorry.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIuDWWO12ln2lc9IdFNjS3NRkDOPs2RONdi4Uqh0FdzqgKfFfTF1j5EaKhoCN7iZP6Rub0v1uJ9b_Wyh5MKt4RvR-dcrEAkdJFB4JhbC6aGg815qRww2XwtFC7W2l92bXvH3atL09anXrB/s1600/BR+Smile+Frame+Smile+close+up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="242" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIuDWWO12ln2lc9IdFNjS3NRkDOPs2RONdi4Uqh0FdzqgKfFfTF1j5EaKhoCN7iZP6Rub0v1uJ9b_Wyh5MKt4RvR-dcrEAkdJFB4JhbC6aGg815qRww2XwtFC7W2l92bXvH3atL09anXrB/s320/BR+Smile+Frame+Smile+close+up.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Looking at the frame, I still didn't think it was finished. It needed.... something. I realized what it was missing was a focal point, which, since it's a picture frame, should be the picture in the middle. So I added a photo mat using matching purple card stock with a little bit of <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6792&CatalogID=176" target="_blank">Silver Shimmer Trim</a> (which, incidentally, is one of my favorite products). I haven't decided what photo should go in here yet, or if I'm going to gift it or sell it, but whatever I do with it, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I had some extra time this week, which of course went directly to crafting, and I thought I'd show you what I've been up to.<br />
<br />
Do you ever find yourself in need of single pages for your scrapbook? I find that I always end up with two pages that match, but I need a front page, or a back page, or maybe I only have one picture that I want to highlight. Can you relate?<br />
<br />
I was working on a totally different project (check back Monday for that one) and I made a huge mistake. I was cutting something out with my cricut and instead of starting with a piece of (cheap) white paper, I just guessed and cut my (not cheap) patterned paper. It took three more tries to get it right, but meanwhile, I had this huge piece of patterned paper that I'd now 'ruined'. Well, I wasn't going to stand for that, so I decided to see what I could do with it. After playing with it for a little while, I realized it would be a great starting point for a scrapbook page, so that's what I did! Wanna see some pictures?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8fOGT-pfgn9uDgHFegV-Z9kVFmOdOJ5SPyYD2Lo3rOZlO7O7lTDmdT0YLk0UgjDtQHgz7U40fpLRSAQPm7WGSG8_o03kXiVT4nQjUl0cB-dij4aTEk8vG9LB7J_1qKkKWTC5a1JLaSGu1/s1600/IMG_1136.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8fOGT-pfgn9uDgHFegV-Z9kVFmOdOJ5SPyYD2Lo3rOZlO7O7lTDmdT0YLk0UgjDtQHgz7U40fpLRSAQPm7WGSG8_o03kXiVT4nQjUl0cB-dij4aTEk8vG9LB7J_1qKkKWTC5a1JLaSGu1/s400/IMG_1136.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This will hold one 5" x 7" photo, although it could also be a really cool collage page, I suppose. I was thinking more of a Title page. Obviously, there is no journaling or photo on it yet, but I really love the way it turned out! Now! Details. Colors: CTMH Autumn Terracotta, Chocolate, and Colonial White. I used a piece of paper from CTMH's Buzz and Bumble pack, cut on the cricut at about 10 inches. The photo mat is 5" x 7", the orange paper is 5" x 1.5", and the brown strip is 1.5" tall and then I just cut it to fit the shape. I also used Autumn Terracotta Bakers twine and a Milepost shape (the cardboard arrow), and some pretty sparkle accents that I think came with the Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the go but I found while I was digging around in my drawer of embellishments. I think it turned out pretty well!</div>

There's a fantastic special, my favorite Stamp of the Month ever, AND, Convention! I'm so excited for Convention this year, which is held at Disney World! My husband and I went to Disney World for our honeymoon and it's one of my favorite places so I'm really looking forward to that. I'll be blogging from Convention as we see new product, and Monday's post after I get back will be a full recap!<br />
<br />
On to the specials! There's an amazing special this month. If you place any order of $25 or more, including at least one stamp set, you get the My Creations Mini Banner FOR FREE! I LOVE free things, and I really love this banner! You can do so many fun things with it! It makes a great birthday banner, decor for any bridal or baby shower, you can hang it in a child's room with their name, theme it for a holiday, etc. I'm so excited to show you some cool stuff I've done with mine! To place an order, email me at meredith dot hainsworth at gmail dot com (no spaces, obvi) or go <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />

Close to My Heart has an introductory video with a bunch of fun artwork and more information on the set. I invite you to take a look and see what you think. If you like what you see, and want to order this amazing set, remember that part of that $35 can be signing up for one of the classes. Also, keep in mind that the stamp of the month can be yours for $5 with a $50 dollar order, so for $60, you would be getting over a hundred dollars of product! To place an order, check out <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/" target="_blank">my website</a>! Happy Stamping!<br />

August is here and I'm so excited about the first project we are doing. We did this project at CTMH'S Convention last month in Dallas and I absolutely love it. It's an adorable Mini Album with a 'Me' theme. This would be great to feature a child's special achievements, chronicle a baby's first year, give to a graduate or a grandparent, or make for yourself. Purchase of this kit will include the chipboard shapes, paper required to assemble the album, a spool of Satin Polka dot ribbon, a spool of the Silver Shimmer Trim, and sufficient Bakers Twine to bind the album together. We will be doing this class on August 30th, at 7pm. To purchase your kit for this class, please click the button below to pay with Paypal or send me an email letting me know you want to register and we will go from there. This class will cost $15 plus tax. You must register for this class by August 24th in order to ensure your supplies have arrived. NOTE: this is a date change. If you've already registered for this class, just let me know you are still coming. If not, I'll get your supplies to you. If you haven't registered, feel free to do so now and we will see you on the 30th.<br />

In September, we are making two projects I'm really in love with. On September 3, we will be making two 2-page layouts using the Flirty paper pack. I absolutely adore the colors in this paper pack and I think they will be great for fall. This class will be 29.95 plus tax and that will include paper, an exclusive My Acrylix stamp set, all the necessary embellishments, and you will even have enough leftovers to make an additional project at home! You must register for this class by August 27th.</div>

September 13 we will be making a brand new project. Close To My Heart has developed a new line of home decor items and we will be making the Scroll Album from that line! We saw this project first at Convention and it's a very cool idea. The scroll fits about 7 pictures, although you can of course customize it to add more if you'd like. This class is 35.95, which includes the scroll, an exclusive stamp set, 10 buttons, Chocolate ribbon, Canvas Stickers, and an instruction booklet. Please register for this class by September 3.<br />

<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">
Hello and welcome to August. There's a lot of fun things going on this month. I can't wait to tell you all about them! On Thursday, I got the opportunity to teach a craft class to 30 Japanese exchange students. It was a lot of fun. They had a great time and so did I. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: -webkit-auto;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-VjF3oHs3iEzIq4eaFqjF-t9O3EGCdmlMkk9dp8naRRoemxIAvf0ULxwO24YuagALgSsdE1OMtm9U6Kp-9QpMS1GV3qcLNH2mJrZRqXgHxJXdkLCYLNrQo6tBdlNhEyONfQ5pzGpG77u-/s1600/IMG_1620.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-VjF3oHs3iEzIq4eaFqjF-t9O3EGCdmlMkk9dp8naRRoemxIAvf0ULxwO24YuagALgSsdE1OMtm9U6Kp-9QpMS1GV3qcLNH2mJrZRqXgHxJXdkLCYLNrQo6tBdlNhEyONfQ5pzGpG77u-/s320/IMG_1620.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-small;">They were all at one long table which</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-small;">was an interesting way to teach.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We made three 3x3 cards which they could stamp with any of the stamps I had there and then color with colored pencils. I was amazed at their creativity and the ways they were using stamps or combining images that I never would have thought of. After they were done with the cards, we made small bags, cut out with my Cricut and the amazing <a href="http://mhainsworth.ctmh.com/Retail/Product.aspx?ItemID=6168&CatalogID=1740" target="_blank">Art Philosophy Cartridge from Close To My Heart.</a> We then decorated the bags with small rolled flowers which were also cut with the AP Cartridge. It was such a great day!</div>

Speaking of the Art Philosophy Cartridge, Close To My Heart just announced this month at Convention that they will be releasing a BRAND NEW Cricut Cartridge called the Artiste Cartridge. I'm so excited about this cartridge! It is definitely a MUST HAVE for scrapbookers, card-makers, any one who works with paper. It has more rolled flower designs (similar to what I used in my class last week), die-cut cards, TONS of 3-D objects, shapes that coordinate so well with our stamps and more. I use my AP cartridge constantly and I'm so excited to get my Artiste collection in the mail so I can explore all the different options!</div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">
Right now, through the end of August, if you purchase the Artiste Collection through me, you will get FREE SHIPPING and a FREE coordinating stamp set of your choice! You must contact me by email to take advantage of this special offer. Close To My Heart has made it even easier to use their Cricut cartridges and coordinating stamp sets! On each page of the current Idea Book, if the stamp set coordinates with one of the cartridges, it will say which one. On the stamp sets themselves, each coordinating image will have a size measurement next to it to let you know which size to cut the shape at. It will also tell you which page of the corresponding booklet you can find that shape on to keep you from having to flip through the whole booklet trying to find 'that one shape that you just KNOW is there somewhere'. This is a new feature with this Idea book and honestly, it's the one I'm most excited about. The time I've spent, flipping through, trying to find the exact right image...</div>

I was very interested, but told her that although I would love to, I'd never done a project this big before. She said she was fine with that, so off we went. Her colors are dusty rose, ivory, and champagne, and she wanted a sort of vintage, shabby chic look for the event. Our first stop, of course, was the internet, where we found some designs we liked and decided to combine them. <br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/04/04/1510.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/04/04/s_1510.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br />The invitation is 6x6. We decided to leave the outside plain, but it would also look great with a ribbon or smaller paper with the couple's initials on it.<br /><br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/04/04/1511.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/04/04/s_1511.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br /><br />Inside, on the left, is a pocket holding the RSVP card, a card about lodgings and accommodations in the area, and an information card. It will also hold an addressed envelope for the response card to go in. On the right is a petal box. This was made by random stamping a 12x12 sheet of paper, and then cutting out 4 5.75in circles. The circles were then folded in half and glued around a brown piece of 5.75x5.75in paper to which the invitation itself was attached. I'm sure there is an easier way to have done this, but I couldn't figure one out. If you can think of one, let me know!<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/04/04/1512.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/04/04/s_1512.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br />All materials used are from Close To My Heart. Colors are Blush and Chocolate. Ivory paper is standard card stock weight paper from Staples, where the printing was done. Font is Copperplate. Stamp is from 'Word Puzzle' stamp set. To purchase any of these materials, or to see a current catalogue, or to order your own invitations, please contact me! <br /><br /><br /><br />Meredith Hainsworthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16092537442329079195noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5077194348061259116.post-47328342892167009742012-03-31T17:39:00.001-07:002012-03-31T17:39:03.948-07:00Fun little cardI was crafting with a friend tonight and I wanted to find something to do with a new stamp set. He left yesterday for a six month underway, so understandably not a whole lot of blogging happened in the last week or so. I also didn't do very much crafting (although I have a big project I'm working on that I can't talk about yet), but I did work on a project. I made my husband a book. What kind of book, you ask? Well, I'll tell you. <br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/03/07/1723.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/03/07/s_1723.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /> In progress shot<br /><br />I dated each page for each day he would be gone. On each page, there is either a) a little note from me telling him how much I love him or something I'm looking forward to for when he gets back or something of a similarly mushy nature, b) a really stupid joke (ex. What's brown and sticky? A stick), c) a fun fact, a question for him (what did you eat for breakfast today, what food would you have if you could have anything right now, what is the first thing y want to do on your first day off, etc), d) an "inspirational" quote (eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines), e) a photo, or f) it will say open envelope #X. Then, I compiled envelopes. They are 5x8 envelopes with different types of candy, gum, Chapstick, toys (like a deck of cards or a yoyo), a card, some pictures. They are all different. And clearly numbered. He will be missing his birthday and our anniversary, so there are special cards and favorite candies for those days. Basically, he has something to look forward to every day and occasionally will have a little present to make his monotonous deployment a little less bleak.<br /><br /><br /><center><a href='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/show_photo.php?p=12/03/07/1724.jpg'><img src='http://photo.blogpressapp.com/photos/12/03/07/s_1724.jpg' border='0' width='281' height='210' style='margin:5px'></a></center><br /><br />That's all I've got for today. I have a mountain of laundry to do, unpacking, grocery shopping, and all those other delightful tasks that await when you get home from a trip. Let me know what you think, or how you would have done it differently. I'd love to make this even better for next time!<br /><br />- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad<br />Meredith Hainsworthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16092537442329079195noreply@blogger.com1
